After reading up in the PlayStation mag there’s a new mmorpg white knight chronicles and looks like its going to steal final fantasy’s xi fame with :

1 its online and you a quest with people and end up fighting 10 meter tall giants with weak points which will have to exploit while the other members distract him but it looks like there’s many other quests too.

2 if you want to range with magic or arrows or get close up and personal you can range from and attack and make up your own combos to bring your enemies down.

3 you make your own character that offline fights alongside the hero bot online its your main character

4 its massive level 5 ( the game makers) delayed the game so they can ad 100 hours of more game play

There’s a couple of reason why white knight chronicles might beat ffxi but is online its a rpg so it ll attract many gamers. the fighting is turn based but fast passed where you chose a move and do it but its also quite realistic with the clashing of swords and misses.16 people can meet up in lobbies and chat and then 4 others can go off and quest.the game developer described it as two games in one as there’s a huge promising number of quest completely separate to the single player and more offline.Its coming out in 2009 don’t know when as japan get it for Christmas.

This game looks promising and might beat ffxi it also looks like consoles are going more online now so there might be even more rivals trying to do the best in the console mmo games
